We’re loving the Sydney lifestyle so much we want to share more of it with you! This week we’re looking at more epic homes (and hotels) as we head up to the Northern Beaches. We cruised by Sydney’s idyllic harbourside suburb of Woolloomooloo and checked out Ovolo’s flagship hotel situated in the heart of the popular wharf precinct. We also visited Avalon Beach to take a look at the amazing Lightwells House by Ian Bennett Design Studio. These properties are both so stunning in completely different ways, they’ll have you planning your next city getaway or staycation.
We spent the day exploring Sydney and had the opportunity to stay at Ovolo Woolloomooloo The hotel is a perfect mix of heritage-listed tradition and contemporary luxury. The service, location, and food were all excellent but what really made our stay so unforgettable was the way we were treated like family from the moment we walked through the doors! If you are looking for a place to stay while in Sydney, Ovolo Woolloomooloo is the way to go. It has all the amenities of an exclusive hotel and comes with picturesque harbour views.
We then headed north to Avalon Beach, the home of Lightwells House. The house sits on Bangalley Headland and is exposed to the elements but I’d say it’s absolutely worth it for those amazing views! We had a chat with Ian Bennett from Ian Bennet Design Studio as he explained how the outside appearance of Lightwells House is exceptionally low maintenance and was specifically designed to withstand the harsh coastal conditions it’s exposed to.
