Hey guys, we’ve recently visited Gundagai in country New South Wales and today we’ll be showing you through Sweeney’s Hut which is part of Kimo Estate, and all I can say is prepare yourselves for some epic cabin goals. Let’s go check it out.
We are in a tiny cabin but what this cabin lacks in size, it makes up for in just sheer wow factor alone. We’ve gotta talk about the beautiful simplistic interiors, there is a lot of timber, there’s beautiful hardwood, it’s very minimal. There’s just white and natural tones and what I love most is that there’s nothing unnecessary in this home. There’s one bed, there are two chairs, there’s one coffee table, you know, there’s one sink, there’s one hot tub. It doesn’t go over the top, it provides everything you need but not too much. It basically just gives you an incredible base just to relax. Just look at the hot tub!
When you’re approaching this hut, what’s actually interesting about is that it kinda doesn’t look that different to your average farmhouse. I mean, sure you’re like, that’s a cool A-frame building going on up there but because of that corrugated iron exterior it really just fits in with everything else within its environment. It’s only once you open the doors and you go, oh hello sexy sink, sexy fireplace, sexy leather chairs. You know, then you actually start to realise that this is not just any old structure here, this is a really beautiful, premium designed cabin.
The luxury comes out in the finishes as well, the choice of the fireplace, that hot tub, come on! What I love most about that hot tub and that entire outdoor deck area is the fact that it just extends the entire footprint of this cabin. Because it is a small space but with that decking leading into the hot tub and also into that outdoor dining area, with that table. It just extends the living area so you don’t always have to be confined to this tiny cabin. Although I say tiny but it’s actually incredibly light and bright in here. There is a lot of height, there are really good louvres on both sides so you can get cross ventilation, so you can get a nice airflow here. The lightness of the interiors, and just like the simplicity and the pair back nature of the decor really makes this space feel a bit bigger than it actually is.
And we’ve gotta go back to the hot tub because that’s one of my favourite things about this cabin. It looks amazing, it has the most incredible view, plus it’s easy to use and it’s off the grid because it runs off the fire, I mean how good is that? I love that you can have something so luxurious and so premium that is completely off the grid. All you need to do is chuck a couple of logs on the fire, heat her up and you’re ready to go.
Hot tub aside, it really is the view and the location that gives this hut its shine and glory. There are views from every single aspect of the home including the shower, I mean hello shower goals, that is ridiculous! This hut is all about design and detail, it’s off the grid but more importantly, it’s built to relax.
