Welcome to Let Us In, a time where we get to break and enter into other people’s homes without the fear of going to prison for the next four to five years. Now, in about five seconds time, I’m going to be walking through a luxury apartment in one of the most enviable locations in Melbourne. I’ve been to Hawksburn Village. I’ve got my coffee. I’ll see you on the inside.
This apartment is luxury with a capital L. I love the feeling of the interiors in here. You’ve got that beautiful light timber, that marble, the white. It’s very minimal, it’s very sophisticated, and it just creates a really large sense of space as well.
The layout of this apartment is really good because you actually don’t really feel like you’re in an apartment. It’s all on one level and everything’s been really well laid out, especially that kitchen, living and dining area. It’s really generous and then that huge outdoor balcony is just amazing. And not only that, but you’ve got another separate private, secluded balcony as well running off that master suite.
“I love the subtle colours in the kitchen and that marble with that soft grey cabinetry. They work really well. They create a really elegant space and in that hidden butler’s pantry and laundry, that’s such a clever use of space.”
This is a three bedroom home, but it can also be four with that fourth bedroom at the moment being used as a study. That master suite is just incredible. Not only does it have its own balcony, but it’s got its own walk-in robe and bathroom, and complete with a bathtub as well, which is a massive win. The master suite almost feels like its own separate wing of this apartment. It really creates a nice sense of exclusion from the rest of it, and it really feels private and cozy like your own special retreat. The generous size is continuous through the bathrooms as well. They’ve all got really good size bathrooms. You’ve got two bathrooms and a powder room.
There’s not a lot to fault in this apartment. I mean, it’s got high ceilings. It’s got light timber flooring. It’s got heaps of storage. It’s got such generous bedrooms and bathrooms. Even the hallways and access points are really generous and wide. And I may have to talk about that lift opening up straight into your own apartment. I mean, how good is that?
“I hate the term stone’s throw, but I kind of have to use it in this instance because this is quite literally a stone’s throw from Hawksburn Village, which is one of the most awesome spots to shop in Melbourne. You’ve got heaps of coffee, fresh food, fresh flowers all on your doorstep. You’re literally just moments away from that.”
This is one of the most enviable places to live in Melbourne. I mean the trees, the Labradoodles, Golden Retrievers, the fancy butcher. It’s just so indulgent and just beautiful. And it really is one of the most beautiful spots in Melbourne.
The height of this apartment as well. You’re sitting high on the treeline, so it also creates a nice sense of privacy because you’re not really looking out onto other people at all. You’re looking at more onto the tops of tiled roof and the treeline, which I think is really special and it almost creates kind of a European or maybe London vibe. It’s just got a really cosmopolitan feel to it. This is a sub penthouse and it’s part of a block of six, so it’s got a really nice exclusive, premium feel to it. Plus, it’s north-facing, so you get the most incredible amount of natural light coming through those beautiful windows. This home is sophisticated living at it’s best. It’s premium, it’s exclusive, just like its location.
