Another year has cruised on by and we say this every year but man that went fast! At the end of each year we like to take stock and reflect on the year that has been. It’s also a great opportunity to look towards the new year and set out all the goals we want to accomplish. For 2018 we had a lot of changes that went down, the biggest being moving our entire business (office and warehouse) into bigger digs! We had some incredible highs including being named Australia’s Best Pop Up Experience Store for our Xmas Pop Up at Highpoint Shopping Centre and we also welcomed new faces to the Hunting for George team. From all of us here at Hunting for George we wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year! Thank you for all your support. We feel so lucky to have such passionate and lovely customers by our side. Be safe over the New Year and enjoy some relaxation time. Cheers to an exceptional 2019 and may all your New Years Resolutions be reached!
Here’s a recap on some of your favourite moments of 2018 and a few of our highlights as well.
Turns out you guys love indoor plants just as much as us. Your favourite Community Journal post from this year was our How to Start an Indoor Garden: A Beginner’s Guide.
Your Favourite House from 2018 was the Terrarium House by John Ellway. An incredible home with serious jungle vibes. This home was also the winner of the best ‘Alterations and Additions for a House Under 200m2′ in the Houses 2018 Awards.
Our insta family are the best! We have a lot of fun and behave like muppets but you guys seem to love it. Our Hunting for George Experience Store at Highpoint Shopping Centre was named Australia’s Best Pop Up Experience 2018 at the Online Retailer Industry Awards! Last year we won the Best Small Independent Online Retailer 2017 and we named top 5 finalists in the category this year as well!
We outgrew our inner city Richmond digs and moved our entire business out to Cheltenham! We are now swanning around in brand new digs and would like to extend a very special thank you to Haymes Paint, Godfrey Hirst and DIY Blinds for helping us turn our renovators delight into a modern, inspiring office. You guys are amazing and we are incredibly lucky to use your beautiful products. There will be more details coming on our office renovation soon, so stay tuned!
