For those that don’t do camping, we’ve got the ultimate glamping experience that might just change your perspective for good. It’s like camping’s luxurious older sister that doesn’t have that ‘back to basics’ attitude. Luxury camping and outdoor events specialists Under Sky are bringing a brand new experience to the Grampians this autumn, with an exclusive pop-up luxe camping hotel at Mount Zero Olives.
For five weeks only (31 March – 7 May), family-run Mount Zero Olives, located at the Northern part of the Grampians National Park, will exclusively open their private property to Under Sky, who are setting up fully furnished bell tents and camping facilities amongst the olive groves with views to the National Park.
Guests will enjoy an unforgettable experience under the stars with a few added luxuries to make their stay even more comfortable. Each 5-metre canvas bell tent by Homecamp will be fitted out with a queen Sleeping Duck mattress, sweet Hunting for George linen, wooden furnishings, woven rugs and natural toiletries. The tents also come equipped with an outdoor table and a couple of deck chairs so you can enjoy the spectacular scenery, sunset and stars, as well as an esky and serving set which includes enamel plates, wine glasses and cutlery.
The experience starts from the moment guests arrive, where they will be welcomed by a friendly concierge at the Homestead and escorted to their very own luxury bell tent. It’s then time to sit back and relax, with a glass of local Riesling in hand and watch the sun set over The Grampians. When it’s time for bed, guests can snuggle up in their super soft Hunting for George sheets with the sound of surrounding nature and wake to a homemade breakfast hamper delivered right to their canvas door. So basically, the dream.
Guests have the option to BYO their own food and drinks, with a communal fire pit, BBQ cooking and dining area available. If BYO isn’t of interest, the renowned The Millstone Café at Mount Zero Olives will reopen exclusively for the pop-up to serve hot breakfasts, coffee, lunch and takeaway lunch hampers for those heading on an expedition. Each Friday night, the Under Sky team will hold a Pizza Night with homemade pizzas on offer and cooked in the wood-fired oven.
The Grampians National Park has a large range of activities to take part in, such as hiking, rock climbing, winery visits and dining. Under Sky is committed to the environment and will provide premium communal composting toilets as well as a purpose built shower block. When the pop-up is over, they will remove the tents and leave no trace.
This unforgettable experience is in full swing, running until 7 May. To book this unique experience, head to Under Sky, but hurry as reservations will fill quickly. Under Sky has plans to take the pop-up hotel concept to other regions and is on the lookout for exceptional properties to partner with.
