We know you’ve been waiting for this! You guys loved our Master Bedroom Makeover so we put together the ultimate cheat sheet for you to get the same look at your place. These stunning products all came together to create a luxurious update and hopefully these beautiful products inspire a few ideas for your own home. Let’s go shopping…
Bed
We got ourselves a brand new mattress, a very comfy orthopedic king size from Harbro. We also got new sets of lush and cosy sheet sets and pillowcases from Milk & Sugar to complete and style the bed. The initial plan was to create a light, bright, coastal vibe but we ended up using rich and indulgent tones that created a moodier colour palette that we absolutely loved!
Windows & Seating
For seating we selected the Bon Chair from Baseline to position in the corner of the room underneath our shelving and a custom tan leather cushion from Harbro for the bay window to create the perfect chill out space. Window furnishings got a major update with PolyLux plantation shutters and blockout curtains from DIY Blinds.
Fireplace
After restoring the fireplace in our Dining Room, we were keen to update our bedroom fireplace, this time with marble. We chose the Burford White Marble mantel with Absolute Black Granite hearth from Schots Furniture. The inclusion of this mantel completely changed the feeling of this space and really elevated the interiors.
Walk in Robe
Definitely my new happy place! We customised our own Multistore storage solution to fit our space and needs. You can also mix and match standard solutions from Multistore to create your perfect robe, available from Bunnings. We clad the internal wall with Easycraft panelling and detailed with top level of drawers with rounded leather tabs from Made Measure for a premium look.
Decor
The decor focused on rich textures and tones. I brought in subtle colours to embellish the warm grey walls and monochromatic artwork. Overall I wanted to not over complicate the space as the Bedroom should be all about creating a calm and peaceful environment in which to relax.
Floor
We applied the same treatment to the floor, as per the other rooms. We hired a floor sander and edger from Bunnings to strip back the existing stain then applied three coats of Liming White Floor Finish for a white wash effect. We also got a new rug from Milk & Sugar with sandy tones which work really nicely with the white washed floors.
