1. What was the main idea behind opening your store?
We both have a love for design and beautiful things. Em has studied fine arts and architectural design and Anna marketing. We wanted to bring both timeless and contemporary pieces with exceptional design, quality and functionality to Griffith and beyond.
2. How would you describe your shop’s style?
The shop is continually evolving but we are passionate to our core style being fresh, timeless and creative with a clean organic feel.
3.Where is your favourite local spot to grab lunch?
So many great spots in Griffith. Mie Amici being 3 doors down are fabulous. Food and coffee is so good and they kindly deliver too!
4. Do you remember your first sale? If so, what was it?
Yes, a beautiful Lumira candle to a dear friend.
5. What is the best and worst thing about running your own shop?
Best is that ‘the sky’s the limit’ we love what we do! Worst…. Could say the extra hours behind the scenes but we really enjoy that too!
6.What are your top 5 favourite websites/blogs at the moment and why?
So many fantastic blogs and sites around, to name 5
The Design Files
FreddyO
Luc Book
Emma’s Design Blog
Australian Living Blog
7.What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
We are always appreciative of advice we’ve been given, it’s really what gets you through. A quote that sums a lot up for us is ‘Life’s too short to remove the USB safely’ in other words; life’s short – enjoy what you do, choose what’s most important and always have a sense of humour.
8.When you’re not in your shop, where can we find you?
Out the back …we are both on farms and enjoy being with family and friends so we can be in many places.
9. What music is playing in your shop at the moment?
We usually have playlists on pandora. Nothing too crazy
10. What do you love most about your local area?
Griffith has a lovely metropolitan feel while still having a strong sense of country friendliness. The vast spread of industry and culture in the area make it an interesting and great place to live or visit.
