Time to go shopping! We’ve recently taken you through the entire process of our Ensuite Makeover so we thought we’d put together an ultimate cheat sheet for you to get the same look at your place. Let’s go…
Tiles
The tiles from Tilecloud made a massive difference in the overall look of the ensuite. We chose to feature vertical subway tiles on the walls, from the floor to the ceiling to extend the height of the room. To counter that smaller scale of the subway tile we opted for a larger 60cm square floor tile to balance. We hired tilers to complete the tiling however we prepared the surface ourselves by applying wet area waterproofing that we picked up from Bunnings.
Fixtures & Fittings
The combination shower, mixers, hooks, towel rails, toilet roll holder and floor shower grate are all from Meir I loved the champagne finish, which is a soft rose gold tone. It worked beautifully in the space and especially picked up on some of the warmth in the Stirling Grey Floor tile.
We had a custom shower screen made from Hawthorn Shower Screens to fully seal the shower area and ensure the rest of the space remained dry. We also chose a Cibo Design mirrored cabinet & wall hung vanity, Mondella toilet suite, and installed a new Hume flush door with Corinthian Doors cavity unit, all from Bunnings. We also utilised some wet area Easycraft panelling for the angled walls and the ceiling, finished with Porta Timber pine mouldings.
Decor
Predominantly minimal, the design elements in this room were kept simple and subtle. I styled a few bathroom essentials like soap dish from Bendo, hand wash from Salus Body, shampoo and conditioner from Hunter Lab, vase from Takeawei, storage basket from Plyroom, Country Road towels, and candle, soap and trivet and from Made + More.
Paint
The room was predominantly tiled however we painted the EasyVJ Easycraft panels in Dieskau Quarter strength (to match our Master Bedroom). The panels on the ceilings had a freshen up with Dulux Ceiling White from Bunnings.
