Hey guys. It’s the end of the month and that means it’s time for the monthly wrap! Usually, I’d be doing this at home but right now I’m in the beautiful Tasmania capturing some of the best Tasmanian design which I’m so excited to share with you. But first, let’s recap on the best of this month!
Let’s have a quick rundown..
Let Us In
September saw us release our first-ever renovation video where we took you behind the scenes on a closer look inside the makeover of my Art Deco apartment. You might remember this rad looking pad that we featured earlier this year and it was also one of the first homes to feature in our Let Us In Home Tour series. We decided that we would document the entire process late last year, but we never released it and I must admit I was very nervous to share it with you all. But after looking back over the footage we loved how honest this video is and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Plus, we got more renovation videos coming your way really soon so keep an eye out!
As far as home tours went we had two incredibly different homes for you this month. We started with the beach house in Aireys which was a really fun and happy family home. It’s hard to put my finger on what my favourite part of that home was, the beautiful angles, the incredible attention to detail, and of course the spectacular views over Aireys Inlet. But to be honest with you, behind the scenes what you haven’t seen was the fact that I just went in that home and just fell in love with the family that lived there, they’re just so lovely and welcoming and it felt as if I’ve been a part of their family for years! So I hope you guys got a sense of just how warm and friendly the owners of that home were from that home tour.
Then we went up to Belgrave where we took you through a plant-filled creative treehouse in the hills, which was just a really creative and artistic one! There is so much to love about that home. You’re literally living amongst the trees in an absolutely breathtaking location. Aside from that, this home has got personality everywhere. There’s an artwork in every single corner. Every single space you look there’s a beautiful ceramic or trinket, and you know how much I love plants and I don’t know how many plants there are in that home but there’s a hell-of-a-lot of them. It’s very clear that the homeowners have a lot of love and connection for the natural world around them. You can hear kookaburras and chickens are wandering around out the back. Imagine what that natural playground must be like for the family, especially the children that live there!
Spring Clean Your Plant Buddies!
And of course our resident plant gurus Ivy Muse are back to give us tips on plant care for the season. As the sunlight starts creeping back into our homes which marks the beginning of the growing period for many plants as they awaken from their winter dormancy, you might want to take advantage and help to make your plants thrive. Go and check out their article on Spring Houseplant Care: Top 5 Tips To Get Your Plants To Thrive This Season.
What’s on for next month?
Right now we’re in Tasmania and we’re gonna be documenting our whole trip however that’s not going to be launching until probably the end of next month until November. So if you are interested in watching our upcoming Tassie videos which are definitely going to be awesome, you have to subscribe to our YouTube channel because that’s where they’re all gonna be launching.
Also next month we’ve got heaps of home tours coming for you including a multi-million dollar mansion in the middle of Toorak which is nothing like I’ve ever seen before. It’s so big and grand and I think it’s the longest Let Us In that we’ve done, and it might even be the best that we’ve ever done! I know I say that literally every time so you gotta see it for yourself when it launches so please watch out for that!
