With all the technology and media we have these days, if you’re anything like me you spend hours Pinning, Gramming, Booking, Blogging and discovering whole new worlds of inspiration. So much so, that you are exploding with creative goodness but never really put it to action… because you get distracted by more pinning, gramming, blogging etc. It never ends!
I recently came across a German designer, Alex Proba who spends 30 minutes everyday designing A Poster A Day. Alex’s poster designs are a combination of found images, designs, patterns and textures. Alex’s posters are somewhat wacky in the way that she works her chosen imagery, but in the short time frame she sets herself she has the ability to create combinations of designs that manage to feel complete. I instantly loved the idea of dedicating a short time frame to actually produce one complete piece of work. Not just starting something that never gets finish. Or procrastinating so much that you’re ideas leave your head just as quickly as they came in. I think I might need to take a lead from Alex and start setting myself mini deadlines… enjoy!
