Winter is well and truly here gang. It’s cold, it’s wet, it’s awesome. Honestly, there are so many great things about the winter months. Footy, big coats, beanies look great, rugging up in bed and sleeping like a log (no sweaty tossing and turning like in summer) and best of all snuggling up in front of the fire, listening to tunes…
For me, there are two main ways to enjoy a fireside hang…
- It’s a Friday or Saturday night. It’s cold and windy and everyone else is out on the town while you’re in front of the fire. You’re on the couch surrounded by fluffy, Hunting for George cushions in your slouchiest trackie dacks with thick socks on your feet, pointed directly at the fire. The doorbell rings and it’s the only person in the world you wanna see tonight… the man with your PIZZA!
- That same fire is on. It’s still cold, still windy but in this scenario, it’s raining too! You’re wearing a heavy, cable-knit sweater (most likely turtleneck, a la ‘Hotline Bling’ Drake) and you’ve got a special someone snuggling up with you. There’s a bottle of delicious wine and some homemade creamy, mushroom pasta… People, romance is imminent.
